Free Motion Quilting Class
Saturday March 21st, 2026 10:00am ~ 3:00pm
Class Fee $60.00
Learn the basics of free motion machine quilting. We'll cover aspects of batting selection, backing considerations including calculating yardage and a neat piecing technique, and layering and pin-basting your quilt top.
Linda will share tips on how to start and stop, handling the bulk of your quilt and that 'MY BOBBIN JUST RAN OUT' situation, and correcting mistakes (discovery that many 'MISTAKES" aren't mistakes at all). She will demonstrate how to make and apply binding.

You'll practice a variety of no-mark free-motion patterns and go home with the start of a pattern dictionary of you own.
