Shibori Dye Class

Join Debbie and Barbara on a fabric dyeing adventure
Day 1: Learn dye resist techniques fold, crunch, twist, band and stitch to prepare fabric for dyeing.
Day 2: Dye fabric process

Class Fee: $60
Materials fee: $30 includes shop fabric dyes and 2 Yards PFD fabric. Additional fabric available for purchase.

Crazy Nine Patch Class
August 19th

A whole different twist on a nine-patch quilt! It takes just 9 fat quarters for the blocks. It's a fun beginner class and makes a 42" X 42" quilt which is great for a small lap, baby quilt, or table top, etc. And can be made in a weekend. It is also fun for experienced sewers who want to try something new and quick. We have fabric bundles available in the shop.

Free Motion Quilt Class

Class Fee $60.00
Join Linda and learn the basics of free-motion machine quilting. We’ll cover aspects of batting selection, backing fabric considerations including calculating yardage and a neat piecing technique, and layering and pin-basting your quilt top.
"I’ll share tips on how to start and stop, handling the bulk of your quilt and that 'my bobbin just ran out!” situation, and correcting mistakes (discovering that many “mistakes” aren’t mistakes at all). I’ll demonstrate how to make and apply binding.
You’ll practice a variety of no-mark free-motion patterns and go home with the start of a pattern dictionary of your own. The class handout includes a bibliography of machine quilting references."
